Holiday World

On August 23rd, 2014 we went to Holiday World with the Rays for Jeri's 30th Birthday. Mark surprised her with getting everyone tickets for the day and we left early that morning, drove about 5 hours, and spent the day playing! We left the babies (Jace and Elliette) at home, and took the two big kiddos. We had such a wonderful time. Tucker and Emmaline were so excited and were great!

This was at 5 am on the road...they were wired!

We made them take a nap around 10 so they could play all day...it was a lot of work to convince them. They didn't have NEAR a long enough nap, but they were still rip-roaring to go when we got there.

This was the first ride...they were able to drive the cars themselves and thought it was the best thing ever!

Chilling out and waiting for us to figure out where to purchase lockers...

Sweet Kiddos and their mommas as excited (or more excited) than them :)

On the marry go round (note to self...don't ever get back on one..they make you sick!)

Jeri insisted on matching, and since it was her birthday I obliged (ha!)  so we got shirts that she monogrammed and we picked out work out shorts to wear all day. It was fun...and of course I now have a monogrammed shirt (or 4) to wear all the time :)

We kept singing the little mermaid song "kiss the girl" while they were riding this...made us laugh!

Roller coaster for kiddos...and it was REALLY for kids...Our knees were so close to the edge that at every turn I think I knocked them. The kids had a BALL!

We had planned on driving back, but with it being so late we decided that we would just spend the night. There was supposed to be a concert that night but it ended up storming REALLY bad and they got pushed back to starting around midnight. We didn't make it to the concerts, but we had such a fun time with the Rays and we are just so thankful for our friendships that have formed over the last year. I can't imagine having to do life without them now. Mark and Jonathan are accountability partners, Jeri and I have become so close and are also accountability partners and prayer partners, and our kids are all the same age and love being together. So thankful for the Lord giving us friends we can truly do life with for YEARS to come!
