Going to the Lake, Lake, Going to the What?

This past weekend, we went to the lake to relax and spend some time with family.  It was great fun all around.

At lunch Tucker took all the pistachio shells and threw them over the boat - no worries - he does wear his life jacket 99% of the time we are on the boat, but at lunch time we take it off so he can sit in the seat and eat comfortably - Aunt Sarah is holding him extra tight, you just can't see her :).  You can't really tell, but he had dropped one on the side of the boat and it really bothered him that he couldn't get it and throw it back in the water.
Aunt Sarah handing him the shells for him to throw off - this literally occupied him for at least 15 minutes - he thought it was great!

We had a birthday party for my cousin's little girl on Saturday afternoon, and T man received the water gun as a party favor - he LOVES it!

Daddy and Tucker spraying all of us - he thought it was so funny when we would squeal.

Daddy got Tucker - getting him back for spraying everyone else.  Well actually they were just testing it out with the cold water from the cooler.
He was all Tuckered out by the end of the day - he fell asleep sitting up.  He didn't want to give out by sleeping, so he wouldn't lay against any of us to sleep, but papaw got him to sleep but he was sitting up.  he did great the whole weekend - he was a trouper and had a blast.

Happy 4th Y'all

Our July 4th was the most relaxed it's ever been - we stayed home - A.L.L. day.  We took it easy playing, eating, napping, and just enjoying some much needed family time.  I didn't take one photo that day, but I did take a few from the Family Picnic night at Bellevue.  Here are a few of my favorites:

Tucker was so fascinated with the big sounds and the bright lights of the fireworks - here was his reaction.  Then he started pointing and saying "woow"

Tuck and Aunt Kat

Hey mom, look!

Some guys brought a water gun and T man thought that was the coolest thing he has ever seen.  He was in heaven!

We were close to the college so Tucker played with Uncle David chasing the ball around on the grass

Happy 4th

Here's what we looked like by the end of the night....it was So Hot!

Chip and Jenny are Married!

Jonathan's cousin Jenny got married to a great guy, Chip, this weekend and so in turn we had a lot of family in town.  Their wedding was by no means traditional in any way.  For starters, there were no ushers to seat people, there was not a bride and groom side to sit, everyone just sat wherever they wanted.  Also, they did not do a garter toss, bouquet throw, or feeding each other cake - there wasn't even a wedding cake.  They served pies, the reception was based completely from their personalities.  I have to say that I think it was my favorite wedding to ever attend.  They had so many cool things that really reflected them as a couple.  I loved it!

Our little family at the reception

They had several flavors of pies - Lemon, chocolate, cherry, coconut,  and pecan.

The food table - there were a ton of veggies, and chocolate covered strawberries.

The fireplace had cotton bunched up on the side, the window above has a large photo of the two of them, and the fence posts throughout the reception added such a neat addition to the decor.

This was one side of the entrance.

Chip is a farmer, so the country theme was so neat and it really was so much about them.

The hanging sign says the "Reeves Farm" - so cute!
Jonathan's cousin William, his wife Veronica, and their little boy Abishi stayed with us this weekend.  The boys had such a great time together.  So glad we got to spend time with family all weekend, even if it was a super busy time.
