Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

Our Baby Boy turned one this month!  I can't believe what an amazing (and quick) year it has been.  We have learned so much as parents and adjusting as husband and wife in this amazing journey.  God is SO GOOD!

Tucker Wiley - I love you so much!  I can't belive how much you have grown in the past 12 months.  You  are such a big boy, loving life, the life of the party every where you go, and you are so sweet!  I'm sorry that you are the one we have to learn on, but I promise we are trying and striving to learn quickly :).  You are such a sweet blessing to our home.  I can't even remember what we did before we had you!

Tucker's first birthday was completed in style - a Tractor Party!  It was so much fun.  I tried to make it fun, but also on a budget.  I made the "Happy Birthday" banner with scrapbook paper, and cardstock.  Also, I made a banner with photos from each month of the past year and strung it up with ribbon and clothes pins.  It's fun to see just how much he has changed.

I also kept the food simple - I made Tucker's cake, but had a tractor cake for everyone else.  We also had adorable "1" and tractor sugar cookies that my mother in law made - they turned out adorable!  I had hot dogs in the freezer (I know, cheep-o), so cut them in half and wrapped them in crescent rolls - a great way to incorporate what I already have.  We had veggies and fruit trays, 7 layer dip and chips, chocolate chip cookie dip with graham crackers, southwestern dip (pampered chef), pretzels, country time lemonade, and green limeade punch.  It was enouh for everyone, but I really wanted to make sure that I kept it simple.  I was afraid that if we had too much going on that it might stress Tucker out - I haven't seen that in his personality at all, but I just didn't know quite what to expect, so we kept it small.  It was so fun!  Here are a few photos of the decor:

Tucker also racked up with gifts - I couldn't believe how many tractors, cars, clothes, and other toys he received.

So the birthday boy was full of himself the day of the party, but had the best time!  Here are a few photos of him opening presents, eating his cake, and just a few more for good measure.

Tractor Cake - made by Ginger, same lady who made our wedding cake.

Tucker's Smash Cake I made for him. The only thing he was interested in on the cake was a tractor

Picture for every month of the past year.

"Happy Birthday Banner" I made out of cardstock and scrapbook paper

Lemonade and Green Punch - to go with the John Deere tractor color theme.

Some of the presents, I couldn't believe how many there were!

Pretty much his favorite thing at the party - balloons
What a day!
