This month has been a bit of a blur honestly.
We are clean up crew for our house - which has been a bit of a challenge with a very pregnant wife, but Jonathan has been so good getting it all completed and we have had some great help from our parents, the boys, and friends.
We ended up getting a dumpster, but to start with we just had a burn pile. Jonathan burned it at the beginning of the month and we have been adding wood to the pile and putting the rest in the dumpster.
Jonathan also got all the hard pipe run for the HVAC. I wasn't quite sure what the difference would be, but being married to someone who does this everyday for a living, I was on board with whatever he wanted to do. Of course, it's more expensive up front to run hard pipe, but we will never have to run it again, where as the flex (which is what most people put in) would have to be replaced in a few years. Thankfully he also thought through the entire process and it's all above our heads - he also made sure to run it out of the way, so instead of only having enough space for the supplies in our attic, we actually realized we are going to have about 1000 square feet that we can eventually finish out! He did an awesome job and we are so thankful for the help we received from friends and family - it was a LONG few weeks and a LOT of work, but it's so rewarding to see the benefits we will reap because of it!
Jonathan texted this picture to us one night on the way home from the land. She was laying on the side of the road and he tried to shoo her away, but she wouldn't move, so he got out and walked right up to her and picked her up. He said there were immediately 6 deer that came from no where and were surrounding him. He walked her out of the road and put her down. Thankfully they didn't charge him!
This is Tucker's masterpiece. He was so excited when I brought lunch one day - he said "Hey mom!! You've got to come see this!!" So here's the explanation - a giraffe, a tractor, another giraffe, then he drew each of us - Mom, Dad, Tucker, Jace, and Wyatt, and then several of our past pups - Bella, Rosie, Avery & Grizzly.
Working hard in our master bathroom - getting air flow and vents put in.
Brick was delivered!
Jace playing "I Spy" - his new favorite game. It's SO sweet when we get in the car and he immediately asks "Hey mom, want to play I spy??"
We had told the boys not to get in the water off the back porch - well, Tucker "accidentally" got in and got wet. I'm pretty sure Jace was coaxed to get in as well, but he got stuck. Needless to say he was traumatized and we haven't had that problem again.
They have started bricking!
The entire upstairs was completed with brick, and our roof is now complete! Exciting stuff!!
Monday, July 25th, they put up all the batting.
Wednesday when we got out of the hospital we ran by the house and saw that they started putting up sheetrock.
Also the septic is officially in.
All sheetrock is now up in the house. Mudding with start Monday, August 1st.
