Chip and Jenny are Married!

Jonathan's cousin Jenny got married to a great guy, Chip, this weekend and so in turn we had a lot of family in town.  Their wedding was by no means traditional in any way.  For starters, there were no ushers to seat people, there was not a bride and groom side to sit, everyone just sat wherever they wanted.  Also, they did not do a garter toss, bouquet throw, or feeding each other cake - there wasn't even a wedding cake.  They served pies, the reception was based completely from their personalities.  I have to say that I think it was my favorite wedding to ever attend.  They had so many cool things that really reflected them as a couple.  I loved it!

Our little family at the reception

They had several flavors of pies - Lemon, chocolate, cherry, coconut,  and pecan.

The food table - there were a ton of veggies, and chocolate covered strawberries.

The fireplace had cotton bunched up on the side, the window above has a large photo of the two of them, and the fence posts throughout the reception added such a neat addition to the decor.

This was one side of the entrance.

Chip is a farmer, so the country theme was so neat and it really was so much about them.

The hanging sign says the "Reeves Farm" - so cute!
Jonathan's cousin William, his wife Veronica, and their little boy Abishi stayed with us this weekend.  The boys had such a great time together.  So glad we got to spend time with family all weekend, even if it was a super busy time.

The boys playing at the Golding's.  Tucker was pushing him around the patio.

Happy Birthday LeBonheur

A few weeks back Tucker, Kassie, and I went to LeBonheur's 60th Birthday and also toured the new hospital with my mom.  My mom has worked at LeBonheur since she got out of college, and I have become a huge advocate of LeBonheur by volunteering through the TWIGS program while I was in high school and college.

I worked with the TWIGS for several years, and really enjoyed it.  The only reason I left was because we moved to Martin, and I just haven't really gotten back into the volunteering process since we've been back in Memphis.  I'm hoping that I can go back to volunteering before too long.  All that to say, I LOVED touring the hospital - it was so cool!  I couldn't believe that it didn't smell like the old hospital - that nasty "hospital" smell.

Tucker was so excited to be there :)

This was a "garden" on the second floor.  The children could look out and see all the "flowers" move when the wind  blows.

Kassie, Tucker, and I in front of the birthday card for LeBonheur - everyone signed it.

Sweet boy playing in the hallway and holding the fan for when we went outside.

Tucker and MiMi hitting the balloons.

Tucker LOVED the bubble machine - I think we might have to get one of these for the house.  He was fascinated with it for sure!

Once again wanting to play with the "Ball" which was actually a balloon.
We had a great time of fellowship.  It was so unbelievably hot there, but we had fun playing, eating, and touring the hospital.  It was neat seeing where my mom works and meeting/seeing again several of the ladies she works with.
